What We Believe at The Rock Christian Church…
The Bible is inspired by God, without error, holds absolute authority in the Life of a Believer and we base our beliefs solely on the Bible. (2 Tim 3:16)
That Jesus Christ is truly God, that He was born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life, was crucified and died for sin in our place, was raised to life from the dead by the power of God and ascended to the right hand of the Father. (John 1:1, Matt 1:18, 2 Cor 5:21, Rom 6:10, Luke 24:1-12, Acts 1:11)
In the Triune God, one God who has always existed in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. (Matt 28:19)
Personal salvation is by being born again, which is a work of the Holy Spirit and essential for each individual, personal cleansing from sin is through repentance and faith in the completed work of Jesus. (John 3:3, Eph 1:7)
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the ongoing work of the Spirit powerfully and dynamically bringing each believer into maturity and Christ-likeness. (Luke 11:13, Gal 5:16, 1 Thess 5:23)
That the Gifts of the Holy Spirit are supernatural and in operation as He wills today. (1 Cor 12:8-10)
In the resurrection of the saved and the lost, the saved to eternal life with God, the lost to eternal separation from God. (John 11:24-25)
God's grace provides healing to the body in answer to believing prayer. (Matt 8:17, James 5:14-15)
In the practice of Baptism by full immersion in water and the Lord's Supper. (Matt 28:19, 1 Cor 11:23-26)
The Devil known also as Satan is a fallen Angel who operates and exercises influence in the lives of people only as far as God permits, he will be cast into the Lake of Fire. (Isa 14:12-15, Job 1:12, Rev 12:9)
